Inclusive workshops invite every participant to contribute in ways that feel safe and energising. When we design with neurodiversity in mind, we make it easier for all brains to engage.
Share the roadmap upfront
Send joining instructions that outline the flow, tech setup, and expectations. Include options for participating via chat, voice, or collaborative boards.
Offer sensory choices
Provide closed captions, transcript access, and breaks that allow people to reset. Encourage participants to adjust lighting, camera use, or movement to stay comfortable.
Facilitate multiple ways of joining in
Mix solo reflection, small groups, and whole-room discussions. Give processing time after questions before asking for contributions, and use tools like polls or shared docs for quieter voices.
Inclusive design is an ongoing practice. Gathering feedback after each workshop helps you keep refining the experience.
